A great product for those who have tried and tested various whitening toothpastes but have had no improvements. At first, you have to warm the oil up in your hands as it is solid to start with, one it becomes fully liquid it is ready to use. The flavour is quite pleasant but the texture is not, it is easy to get used after a few uses. I use it before brushing my teeth for 15 minutes a t a time. A great product, results vary but the oil pulling technique does eventually help improve whiteness.
0 charcoal mint-14 sachetsusing charcoal in teeth-whitening products became fashionable last year, and there are a number of similar products on the market. This one consists of individual sachets, each of which comes with quite a large dose of product which you swill around in your mouth for at least 5 minutes and up to 15 minutes. I found the sachets worked best if i warmed one in warm water or on top of a radiator first, since coconut oil – the main constituent – is solid at room temperature. Swill around your mouth for the requisite amount of time then spit out – be prepared for coal black spitthe active ingredients are mild abrasives that you swill around your mouth against your teeth. Therefore this will be a maintenance treatment, rather than one that will get rid of the yellowing of ageing teeth or deep stains. For that, you’ll need to visit your dentist for proper tooth-whitening. I find a full sachet is a bit much, so use a bit less. You could i suppose add the left-overs together to squeeze out another dose because, at the current selling price, these are quite expensive, especially if used as a daily treatment. For sale at the time of writing this review at £22.
Both oil pulling and brushing with activated charcoal are excellent for maintaining dental health. Both methods rid the mouth of bacteria which could potentially cause serious health problems throughout the body. They aren’t a replacement for but a supplement to daily dental hygiene. Cocowhite have cleverly combined both methods in this product but nothing on this earth can make this a pleasant experience. If you haven’t tried oil pulling before i would suggest you try it, swilling a tablespoon of coconut oil for 5 minutes to begin with, before spending a small fortune on a commercial product. Then you will know if your gag reflex will allow you to build up to the 15 minutes required to obtain optimal results. I do think that these natural ingredients are beneficial to overall health but i really can’t see the logic in spending £1 or over each time you “swish” when you can easily obtain coconut oil and activated charcoal powder at a fraction of the cost. Try not to spit out in the sink as the oil will clog your pipes.
0 charcoal mint 14 sachets are one very unusual way of whitening teeth and to be honest i was very wary as i have heard some horror stories about whitening products damaging gums etc. Therefore, when i received this i decided to give it a go, and i am very happy i did so. The product is nicely presented in a solid black cylinder or tube-shaped package and within the closed barrel is 14 sachets which can be simply opened either by tearing the top or snipping the top and pouring the charcoal oil into your mouth and simply swish it around your mouth. I had mine stored in a warm room therefore when i put it into my mouth it was a liquid which meant i found it easy to swish it around my teeth. If you prefer yours to be liquid i would recommend you warm the sachet between your hands and gently massage it until the product feels soft etc. There is a light mint taste, but nothing definite compared to other mouthwashes, the oil felt weird in my mouth, but i soon got used to it. The actual sachets contain activated charcoal which is mixed with sodium bicarbonate this cleanses and exfoliates your teeth and with the activated charcoal whitens your teeth naturally. The activated charcoal is naturally absorbent which helps to remove stains, impurities and toxins which indeed does leave our mouth clean, fresh and the whitening of my teeth is an extra bonus. At the beginning, i found it hard to keep it in my mouth for 15 minutes at the beginning of the treatment, but this is what the makers do recommend, i did build the time up as the recommended time progressed.
